Seton Catholic Schools is a new, collaborative network of K-8 parish schools in the Greater Milwaukee area. We are coming together to strengthen academics, faith formation and life-long outcomes for all students. By 2020, Seton will include nearly 30 schools serving 10,000 students and be a national model for urban school renewal. By joining our team, you can become a leader in this important transformation.
We are looking for devoted education professionals who are eager to help students succeed in mind, body and spirit. Seton Catholic School teachers are responsible for driving academic and spiritual growth in all students by engaging them in a strong and loving classroom culture and rigorous classroom instruction.
The Seton Semester Corps position allows for a collective environment where a new teacher can lead their own classroom or support an experienced teacher during the spring 2018 semester. Semester Corps Teachers will be able to collaborate with colleagues to make decisions about curriculum, assessment tools and classroom culture. A Semester Corps Teacher will cultivate their teaching skills by supporting instruction within a set of classrooms, co-teaching alongside an experienced educator, and/or filling-in for a teacher on leave throughout the semester. They will also participate in school and network professional development as well as receive coaching from principals and instructional staff.
This is an ideal opportunity for winter graduates of teacher preparation programs who are looking to thrive in their first experience as a teacher and grow as a Catholic educator.
